a strategy game or typically known as strategic gaming in which players have to make decisions 1 or 2 steps ahead of the A.I. making a competitive and frustrating game. but people that are smarter typically have no problem with with battling A.I. sometimes the player will be against someone somewhere else in the world , dead by daylight can be seen as a strategy where you have got think 2 steps ahead of the opponent. there are up to four people that can be a survivor and one killer, there are multiple killers to choose from all with different abilities which makes it more difficult for the survivors because they have to learn, adapt and overcome. so they have to think where the killer will go and what he will do, the trapper can place traps so sometime when the survivor goes over a window or go through a large bush there may be a trap there. where other killers like the crossover with saw’s the pig can also put traps but they wont be on the ground they will be on you players head and you have to find jigsaws boxes to get it off and you have a certain amount of time.
when you complete a game winning or failing you are granted with in game currency called blood points which is used to upgrade the ability’s in a perk tree or otherwise known as a technology tree and get new perks for survivors or killers. all the perks they get the better they are at the game.
some stratagy games have resources to harvist but in dead by daylight that is not the case, but in events for the game you harvist resources in game for cosmetics. there are different builds in game of what perks you use like healing your self without a medkit or for the killers there radar gets turn off completely so the suvivours dont know where he is. the game is a online multiplayer which makes this a real time stratagey , you are against a real person not A.I. emergant gameplay in dead by daylight is the game puting you in a dark and gloomy envioronment making the player feel tense and scared and this all takes more affect when you are being chased by the killer.
