sports games are games that can be based on real life games like footbal, rugby, tennis and more. but they can be crazy twists on typical real life games like rocket league. rocket league is a game where you take control of a car that is designed by you the player and play a game of football with the car. your car can jump, boost, flip and use special abillitys against 3 opponents trying to score a goal, its a 3v3 and who ever gets the most goals win they have to use the boost to try and get an advantage but it will run out so you will have to refill it with the lights on the floor of the arena. this makes for compeling gameplay because the games like fifa have gone stale over time so this is like a breath of freash air for the sports community. when you finish a game you will be rewarded with keys that can be used to unlock crates that will give you more modification to you car, you will also unlock xp that will level up your battle pass to unlock more rewards but the battle pass you have to pay with real money.
in rocket league you are against real opponents most of the time with the online multiplayer but you can play the season which is tournaments against A.I. opponents. it can be a competitive sport with there esports but its a fantasy sport. emergent game play in sports can be how you perform in a game and will determine if your opponent will be a lower level, to make it easier. in any fifa there will always be licensed teams like Chelsea, Liverpool and others. emergant gameplay in rocket league is intense and rage for the player because you have to be quick on your feet and score as fast as you can.
