hybrid games is a mixture of two or more genres mix together to make a game. This can be done in parallel, with two types of game happening together, or in series, with one type of game following another. assassins creed for example, assassins creed 2 was released in 2009 and was a major hit by the mechanics that the game presented. running up walls, running away from guards, using all your weapons to fight guards made for a brilliant action game but also experience large open world maps to explore, crossing city to city to meet historic people like Leonardo DA vici . there is a whole area that is one road going from one city to another, this made for a great adventure game because there was so much to learn and explore
this clip show the main protagonist losing the people he loved a displays the fast action to this game with a man telling you to run and fast and all the guards swarm you and you have to try and loses them.
this image shows use a part of the Venice map in game, this is one of the biggest maps in this game and there are more in the game and displays the adventure because you have to travel far to the next mission to progress through the story. when you complete a mission in this game you only get money and maybe a quest item, this is use to buy new amour, weapons, ammunition and other items in game. the later games in the franchise expanded on this by introducing a more RPG elements in to this game with assassins creed origins. in assassins creed origins it had a large open world with so much to do like explore the pyramids, take control and fly with your eagle, takeover a base, harvest materials and much more. the map was one of there biggest maps they had done that was until ac odyssey came around.
when you would complete a mission in assassins creed origins you would get money and xp to level yourself up, the level cap was 50 before there DLC came out allowing you to get more xp. you would have to hunt the wildlife to get materials to upgrade your weapons, you would be able to check how much material you had by going to the inventory and it would be in the top left corner
two or more genres make for a great gaming experence, with AC 2 it is a action, adventure where AC origins is a action ,adventure and rpg .
